Frequently asked questions
- Which countries does Fernweh Charge cover?
- Germany only, for now. We focus on giving you accurate, official charging prices in one country before expanding.
- Where do the charging prices come from?
- They come from the official AFIR DATEX II feeds that German charging operators are legally required to publish. The prices are not scraped from websites or estimated.
- How up to date are the prices?
- Prices are refreshed on a regular schedule. A charger is only shown when its €/kWh price is known and fresh, so you can trust what you see on the map.
- Do I need an account?
- No. Fernweh Charge is a read-only map — there is no sign-in, no account, and no subscription required.
- Why are some chargers missing?
- Only chargers with a known, fresh price are shown. If an operator has not published a current €/kWh price for a station, we leave it off the map rather than show a guess.
- How do I navigate to a charger?
- Tap a charger on the map and open it in your preferred navigation app — Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze, or TomTom.
